Identity: The idea behind the Ei8ht branding was to create something timeless, yet classic and iconic to sit alongside other luxury brands. The idea of the interlocking circles creating '8' came from the fact that their products are circular.

 

Other concepts were explored using the number 8, circles (since their products were circular) and a slight ethnic twist (the square option) since the products had an eastern influence.

 

 


Stationary:
The '8' from the logo was modified into a 'flower' icon (a reference to the product scents) which was repeated to make wallpaper. This was used across packaging, print, POS, web etc.

 

 

Brochure: The wallpaper created from the 'flower icon' was used on the front cover as a spot varnish with images cropped within circles - which reflected the shape of the candles.

 

 

Packaging: The wallpaper created from the 'flower icon' was used on the packaging as a spot varnish.
The packaging also acted as point of sale as you could see the product clearly.

 

 

Website: The design for Ei8ht's online shop had to feel classic and stylish but also a fun shopping experience. The '8' icon was creatively used to hold images and scent information on the online shop.

An upmarket gift company set up in 2006 in London, selling candles. Their gift range is sold online, in boutiques and department stores throughout the UK and abroad.
